Public Clocks: Form Versus Function at 5th and Vine in Cincinnati
At the corner of 5th and Vine, in the heart of downtown Cincinnati (across from Fountain Square) are 2 public clocks that illustrate the eternal design question of whether to favor function or form. The iconic TIffany clock greets visitors to the store on the northwest corner. The clock is held up by a carved rendering of Atlas, and is a copy of the original in New York from the late 1930s.
